As you review the counselors bio’s, remember that the key to finding a good match lies in understanding the purpose of counseling itself. We seek help when what we’ve been doing doesn’t seem to be working for us anymore. Good counselors are great reflective listeners. They may ask some hard questions as a way to understand you better, help you in your growth, or to offer a different perspective. A good counselor supports your journey to move forward.
A good counselor doesn't need to share identical beliefs or experiences as you. A good match is not based on finding someone who is just like you or going to wholly agree with your point of view.
You are the expert in your life- and good counselors understand that through listening, working to understand, and inviting you to work hard to understand yourself in different ways as well. They can also help you find connections and resources in areas that help you grow.
You can always call 1-800-540-3758 to talk with an EAP intake counselor to get an idea of who might be a good fit for you.

I value showing up for my clients with honesty and integrity because processing thoughts, feelings and emotions deserves both. My intention is to empower my clients to heal as a whole person, body, mind and spirit. Because of this, I strive to offer a safe, comfortable space where clients are able to explore, heal, grow and thrive. I continually nurture these relationships with empathy and authenticity.
